IBK INTERNATIONAL SUMMERCAMP .2007 CROATIE ISLAND RAB . ADRIATIC SEA . After several years in Hungary in a former communist youth camp where everything was old and terribly neglected with rusty and broken showers ect ect The food so terrible that one of the students said ,"my Father eat better whe he was in e German concentration camp" Also their was absoluut nothing to do for the younger budoka . So when I came to the island Rab in a beautifull scenery with mountains and a blue sea and looked at the terific new big hotel with clean rooms I was very proud of my Dai Shihan Mladen Sancic 7th dan who organized it all . The restaurant was another pleasant suprise , 5 buffets with different foods as fish , meat , salads , ect ect . For the kids as much ice cream as they could eat and for the others as much beer FREE with the dinner . All other drinks where their for the taking . In one word UNBELIEVABLE . Close by the town with a permanent bazaar and all kinds of restaurants en coffeebars . One minus was that Mladen had to disappoint many others who where to late booking for the hotels in seison where all booked in advance for it is a very populair vacantion resort . Their was only room for 135 budoka and they where their . So next year BE ON TIME OR ELSE !!!!! All the Dai Shihans where their of Europe and also Dave Jonkers 9th dan and co founder in 1996 of the IBK , after the Kykushin Budokai in 1980 . and his student Sem Schilt 6 th dan who really took the cake . Even Lionel Bricnet , whose seison at the harbor is always at the same time as the summercamp , was there which made me very happy also his wife and lively new son where their . Sem Schilt was so populair that he could not walk in the town or hotel or everybody wanted to take pictures with him . It turns out that everybody look s at fightime on the sportchannell . Their was plenty of training from 8,30 untill 11.00 and from 1800 to 20.00 hours so that their was plenty of time to enjoy yet skying , snorkeling, and swimming with sunbathing . Next year they will be a tatami so that all round fighting will be done and again be on time for the booking of the hotel . Mladen is certainly NO Adamy who only want to make money , like 28000 a pop .but he is a real BUDOKA and not a kata monkey . Joop Reilman 8th dan Secr of the IBK had hilarious moments with his training and motivation lessons . Sem Schilt 6th dan his training was really all for the K 1 and done so that everybody understood it .. Their where only 10 kids which was good for he concentrated espescially on the coming worldchampionships in Emmen , Holland coming november from the first untill the 4 rd . Kancho Henk Kuipers showed that he was not a Kancho by name but also a top fighter and more important a top teacher . He also rented a Sea worthy Yacht and the supreme council had several lovely trips on the Adriatic to other towns where Kancho surprised us with a good lunch . Andrea Stoppa sensei did not have to fight on the sunday examinations IBK but did so anyway and while going strong fought 50 man succesfully and made 5 th dan . Well done Andrea , your a worthy IBK budoka . Also Eric Vearenbergs wife fought 30 man for Shodan and when kick down by the 28 she stood op and attacked the polish woman like a champion . She mad of course Shodan . The Polish sensei Tomek dis very well and made 4th dan . The weather was very good but several days 35 and more a little to much for me . Sem did his dayly routine for his next fight and did that with a keen Andrea who did not care being handled a bit K 1 style . Joop Reilman the secr IBK turned 60 years of age on the sunday and got a hearthy HAPPY BIRTHSDAY song . Well done everybody we certainly are on the right road and getting bigger every week . All the Daishihans Europe where at the summercamp even Lionel Bricnet made free time no matter his work as policeofficer at the Harbor in Nice his face behind Kaicho.

ISRAEL .trip . From the 20th untill the 28th of June I was in Israel on a invitation of Raffi Liven Dai Shihan all round in Danmark . Raffi hanshi has a contract with the organisation for Anti terror and bodyguard training by former commandos like Lefler and Gady Scornick both highly decorated on their armydays and the wars they where in as elite commando unit .who work together with Raffi on this assignment . The training was done by 7 police man from the Col Milosh and a captain plus 5 other officers . They where a lot of fun together with crazy Raffi who was the leader and kept a clean house . Since I was giving also a seminar for them at a new dojo in Bedouin country , they ask me to go with them and do the rest of the training like shooting with Gady Scornick with pistols and automatic pistolmitrailleurs and than the big auto chase from Tel Aviv to Eilat . The training was to stay with three fast cars always close together and to block the other trafickers with a car or two to let the third one in again . Óf course this gave hilarious situations with angry motorist who shut up right away when they saw our big police caps . LOTS of fun .!!! Raffi who is an excellent driver and completely NUTS drove lots of time at the right side onthe left over stroke very often with only centimeters between the other car and the side bars .and that with 140 or more KM .and when a truck was in front on the left with a car close behind him Raffi always saw a change to swing to the left and with a few CM between the opening went right in there and never changed his big damn smile not even when he heard me farthing . Police who saw us always let us go when they saw the caps and tought we where on a mission . Well we where but not what they taught we where doing . In Eilat a bit of diving and in the dead see some relaxing which I really needed for my ass muscles where in a knot and the muscle all over hard like a body builder and my eyes wide open from fear .and YES it is fun driving with mad Raffi hanshi . Two new dojos one of Youssoef El ABID Shihan who made after a test 5th dan and runs the Bedouin dojo of those who left their tents and live in the biggest Bedouin town now called RAHAT .and I met some very wonderfull Budoka mostly students for years of Raffi . Than to the dojo of Moshe Buchnick Hanshi who had a special training of every body fighting against everybody in order that at the end of the traing they must have fought at least 100 man a minut each . for which they got a certificate for that event signed by Moshe, Raffi and me. Of course Raffi and me watched the event from the side line table to eliminate hanky panky . It was very nice . The other dojo also in the the town of Moshe named ASHDOT is of the champ Gady Ben Zimre 5th dan 2mt 5 cm and 128 kilo fast a a tiger good at K 1 . Kick boxing and all round . A hell of a nice guy even a little shy but NOT whem he is fighting . He will be with the 8 Budoka invited to see who becomes the world champ of the IBK . MOSCOU . From the 12th untill the 15th of July I was in Moscou on invitation of the Dai Shihan and sponsor for Russia Sergey Badyuk 7th dan . Reason was that he organised examinations for Moscou and cities around Moscou . Even the Dai Shihan of St Petersburg was present Yurrie Egorov 6th dan . Some 40 Budoka where present and the fights after a rough training given by Yurrie Fedorishin 7th dan was a terrific event . 30 for the shodans 40 for the nidans and 50 for the sandans . And it was in real Russian styl no bullshit but lets rumble . I had a good day because this is what BUDOKAI and IBK is all about and I can surely count on the Russians . Even some of the Hells Angels of the Moscou motor club did their bit and their President Alex Skvortsov 1st dan was watching his pupils Alex made a good name for himself when last time he took the test with several of his motor buddies he said , "only 30 for shodan ??? that is for pussies . we fight 50 like real man "and they did it in great style .what a spirit . The club is under guidance of Badyuk Dai Shihan who wants a clean house . I missed our Moscou Monk ioan Ohlobistin of the Great Moscou white Cathedral .and his songs he sang by the opening last time . Than a new comer the in Russia famous movie star Sergey Veksler did the test an made 1st dan . Not one missed this change and all passed the test and the fighting, easy in great style . Espescial Badyuk Dai Shihan was elated because many where his students so he loved the results . After the tests up to the party of course at Badyuks restaurant the beautifull "SHANTI "in midtown Moscou . Moscou is every year more beautifull with great buildings in nice colors also the Flat buildings in downtown a lovely site for tired eyes I really started to love Moscou and the IBK members they are really like I am with FAMILY . Back home I had to drop 2 kilo for the Shanti is to damn good a restaurant and the goodies to damn nice to let it go .LOVELY !!!

As you must know by now your best student the amazing Gokor has given you the certificate for the highest award the Supreme council of the IBK can give to a fellow Martial Arts specialist. We never gave that grade to anyone alive but we decided after seeing Gokor again at work that the time is their to get the supreme council , consisting of the 9th and 8th dans of the IBK ,together and ask their support and opinion .

We fought our whole lives and our life is BUDO and we lived ,like that and made our living with that and give the world many many good students, senseis as well as fighters and many more who just did Budo for fun and also got much out of it. I am very happy that in the winter of our Budocareer I can do this for you , for if one deserved this grade it certainly is you and nobody will deny that. I hope that you be with us for many years to come but we also know in our hearths that our bodies took enough punishments to last 10 lifetimes and that playes a large part in our lives every day now .

Keep on trucking and to quote the infamous Meyer Lansky. If you loose some money you loose nothing, If you loose some health you loose something, BUT if you loose you character you loose EVERYTHING. I know we will never do that.

The 14th of february I was informed that Mama Kurosaki, Senseis wife al of a sudden left this world. I was schocked for she was only 64 years of age when this happened. She was always in good spirits and happy always looking after the Uchi Desi,s in the Kurosaki Honbu where their where many good kickboxers who several times won the K max.

It is a terrible blow to my old friend and teacher Kenji Kurosaki Sensei who was and still is always helping me espescially since he was in Holland
teaching at my dojo the whole year of 1966. I was also initiated into his famous family of which I still am very proud. Sensei himself had also a terrible setback in his health but is slowly getting out of the dark side and is expecting to wholly recover around may this year.

Of course since I am family and know mama for so many years not only had to go but wanted desperately to go for I did not know if she was already cremated which is only several days after passing away in Japan. My Secretary in Tokyo for Japan Kenji Fuliwara san mailed me that the Otsuya ( ceremony of sayo nara for everybody who know Mama ) was the 17th of February and the cremation only for family and very close friends was the 18th. I called my travell bureau and ask if their was a flight and if their was still a place on the next flight. I was lucky for their was the very next day a place in order to be in time in Tokyo. Fujiwara san picked me up the 17th and we where off to Saitama.

When we came at the ceremony center I was amazed at the unbelieveble flowershow and the big signs above it from who that particulair flowerarrangement was. Fujiwara San pointed out the sign with the name of the IBK on it and the Kaicho plus Kancho of the IBK. I was very beautifull. To my surprise their was no really formal music but all kind of pop and Elvis Presley music which Mama liked so much during her life.
In orderly fashion everybody was called out and one after the other they came forwards and payed their respects in the old Japanese way. When it was my my turn I saw two boxes and besides them the incent which you was supposed to take some with two vingers and put it on the burning fire in the box and put your hands together and bow tho the big picture of Mama in a setting of beautifull flowers. You do that twice.

I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when I looked at that picture and all those years came back to me. After that their was talk and dinner and drinks. The next day was the cremation and when we entered the big room the casket was already taken out from all the flowerarrangements and opened so that everybody invited could take one last look. Than everybody received some smal bunch of flowers and put them on the body of Mama. The daughters got the last and put them on Mamas face and so she was completely covered in flowers when the casket was closed again and wheeled away to the crematorium with everybody following. The crematorium was a nice and a spotless clean small room with three small cerematoriums in front. Mama was wheeled in the left one door closed and the picture in front of it.

Than all waited and when the fire did his work everybody put their hands to getter and said good by. After that we went for coffee and waited for a while when we where called out again and came together in a small room and what happened than was very emotional and a real eye opener for this Gaijin. The door opened and on a car was a bit sink plate and in the middle the urn of yellow color. At the foot of the urn where a big heap of burned bones of all sorts. Above left was the skull, the face with the eye sockets, the mouth, the cheekbones and the top of the head under the jawbone. I was mesmerized it was so sad and also so beautifull a ceremony. Than every body got big shopsticks and with two at the same time picted up some big bones and put it in the Urn. After that was done by every body the man put a cloth over the bones and
crushed them to the bottom. Than the skull was placed very carefully on top of the bones and not crushed.

The Wintercamp in Croatia was very successful and there were 100 members of the IBK and they represent eight countries: Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Slovak, Belgium, Hungary and Holland.

Daishihan Mladen Sancic with his team did a superior job in organising this winter camp, with the concurrence and thanks of the IBK board of directors consisting of Kaicho Jon Bluming, Kancho Henk Kuipers and Secretary Hansi Joop Reilman.

Training was given by Kaicho, Kancho, Hansi Reilman, Shihan van Vaerenberg, Shihan Scholler, Shihan Farun, Shihan Zvonko, Shihan Sancic, Sensei van Emmen, Sensei Sancic and Sensei Stoppa.

Also Shihan Saint was there with his respected age of 73, Hansi Ademy from Hungary was also there with his students.
Two new countries have joined our IBK family and you will soon read the details about their dojo’s and names, those two countries are Serbia and Hungary.
Three times each day the students were training with Kumite,,kata, kihon, and all round fighting. After this three days of training the participants were tiered and very satisfied with the advancements in their abilities.

Kaicho promoted Kancho Henk Kuipers to 8th Dan during this Wintercamp. Jan de Bruin was promoted to 8th Dan, Daishihan Mladen was promoted to 7th Dan, Daishihan Eric van Vaerenberg to 6th Dan, and sensei Zvonko to shihan 5th Dan . Also Kaicho stated that he promoted the IBK co-founder Hansi Dave Jonkers to honorary 9th Dan and his student K1 champion Sem Schilt to 6th Dan.

Kancho Henk Kuipers and daishihan Mladen Sancic formed a new team under management of Kancho. The name of the team is HARDCORE CROATIA, so the top fighters of Croatia become professional from this time on.

IBK Croatia thanks each of you for your hospitality and announces the Summercamp to be held in August 2007. Date and location is to be announced.

Last year our dojo has provided training to 100's of Law Enforcement Officers, most of it free training in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our dojo and instructors strives to provide realistic training to these frontline warriors.

Their is still a misunderstanding about the IBK the REAL IBK of KAICHO Jon Bluming and KANCHO Henk Kuipers
That IBK is the REAL one because their are several Jackasses who claim that they are also IBK like EISHEUER of Germany and an Kamakura dojo in Holland of ther Gordeau brothers Nico and Gerard, together with some dojo's like Muromachi of Wyngaarden and Eikmans and in Hungary Istvan Adamy, and the former secr IB jan de jong. this people all doublecrossed KAICHO and tried to take over HIS IBK. Kaicho now expelled those dojo's and they are NOT in the IBK and have no business with the iBK whatsoever. The terrible lies they put on the website of kamakura that Kaicho left the IBK is NOT thrue and thats why he does not EVER want to see this people again any information you can obtain also from KANCHO Henk Kuipers e mail h.cooper@planet.nl Kaicho is very sad about this event but he has been mistreated to much to reverse the desicion that he kicked them all out of HIS IBK.

Weer een jaar achter de rug en het was een ruige. In maart, april moest ik een vervelende beslissing nemen of myn zelf respect verliezen en daar pas ik voor. Zoals Meyer Lansky, de grote maffia baas, in zyn memoires schreef was recht op de ziel, wat hy ook mocht wezen in zyn leven. Verlies je geld dan verlies je niets! verlies je gezondheid dan verlies je iets! verlies je je KARAKTER en zelfrespect verlies je ALLES!!!!

Na een zeer grondig onderzoek is gebleken dat ik 100% gelyk had jan de jong er uit te schoppen gezien de hele achtergrond van ons jantje een grote leugen is van zyn mastersdegree tot de zgn eigen sportpaleis, jongste grootmajoor by de rykspolitie (rang bestaat niet eens) Olympiesch steunpunt ??? cmdt arrestatie team ??trainen met de BBO mariniers en zo gaan we maar door de man moest echt naar de zieleknyper. In overleg met Gerard Gordeau heb ik hem geroyeerd. De rol die kamakura daarna speelde heb ik nooit begrepen maar dat gaf verder niet want de broers vertelde my dat ze voortaan hun EIGEN weg zouden gaan, dus wie heeft wat verlaten. maar genoeg. Ik heb nooit begrepen dat zovele Senseis en dojos niet mee wilde doen niet alleen in Nederland maar ook in Europa als de Gordeaus en kamakura in de IBK zyn en zeker niet als zy de leiding hadden en als ik hemelen de nw KAICHO Gerard zou zyn. Daar kwam ik pas achter toen zy weg gingen uit de IBK en de hele wereld aanschreven dat zy het zouden overnemen en of ze maar even wilde aansluiten by kamakura. NIET dus geen een ging mee op hungarye na en muramachi. Einde verhaal en een geweldige opbouw van de IBK want nu kwam iedereen niet alleen terug maar vele anderen deden nu mee o.a Flemming Schroter Hanshi in Danmark met 6 dojos en zyn vriend Creton Hanshi met 15 dojos in Engeland. 25 nw in Nederland en groeiende onder de leiding o.a van de door my aangewezen nw KANCHO ( nadat Gerard ZELF is weggegaan ) Henk Kuipers. Zie de website www.jonbluming.com en www.ibk.nl. Eindelyk ben in tot rust gekomen na deze stomme fouten Gerard en de jong. Myn schouder is geopereerd rechterkant en tot myn grote geluk heb ik er geen last van ondanks alle droeve verhalen en na 5 dagen kan ik hem ronddraaien en werk weer in de tuin tot verbazing van de dokter en de chirurg. De twede week van janurari ga ik dus mee naar Croatie voor het winterkamp van Mladen Sancic en de hete bronnen ( goed voor de schouder ). Maart twee maal Japan en Moscou en waarschynlyk Siberie ( ligt aan de schouder dan ). Allemaal bedankt voor jullie inzet in 2006 en het vertrouwen aan my gegeven.

En mischien komen we dan aan de 25000 leden die de komediant Gordeau schreef in Rings sport die ik in myn zak zou hebben gestoken. Ik denk dat hy even moet nakyken hoe hy zyn huis in Portugal heeft betaald daar kamakura in de 10 jaar dat ze lid waren van de IBK precies 20 leden hebben lid gemaakt en beweren er niet meer te hebben ????? hoe kan je dan beweren dat je de grote kyokushinkaikan dojo bent en terug naar de basis en meer van die grote kreten waar je misselyk van wordt omdat ze verrekt goed weten dat All round en Kick boxing en vooral K 1 de sporten zyn en full contact een soort stiefkindje begint te worden. De laatste leugen van Gerard is dat hy nooit verloren heeft van Michel Wedel.

Wel kyk naar de foto op de website van de IBK.nl want daar ligt Gerard echt niet te slapen maar is VOL. KO . en jongens dat is gezien de vecht achtergrond van Gerard zeker geen schande want een klein foutje kan je een keer een KO kosten so wat ???? Waarom zo dom liegen. Jongens wy zitten nu op de goede weg en dat heeft vooral my 26 jaar gekost maar met plezier en als grote eer en bonus is de dojo van het opleidingskamp in Doorn van de Mariners genoemd de MARINIER JON BLUMING DOJO en geopend door de cmdt Korps Mariniers GENERAAL MAJOOR ROB ZUIDERWIJK, en KOLONEL DICK SWYGMAN SAMEN MET DE KOLONEL 2e BAT MAR TOM VERBAAN en alle fyne vrienden van jullie Kaicho en daar gaat het om samen werken van elkaar leren en zegt het voort zo worden wy groot. Heerlyk he dat Sem Schilt weer wereldkampioen is geworden K1 na dat al 7 maal wereldkampioen was in all round by Daido Juku 3 maal, by pancrase 3 maal en 1 maal by pride.

GREAT HONOR FOR KAICHO.

The 22 of november was the opening of the Boothcamp Marine dojo in Doorn. The opening was done by the Commander of the Dutch Marines Major General Rob Zuiderwijk. Also present was the Commandant of the Boothcamp Colonel Dick Swijgman and Commandant 2^nd Marine Bataljon Colonel Tom Verbaan all of them good friends of Kaicho. After several speaches by Kaicho and the General, Kaicho presented the General with the complete history of the US Marine Corps and Colonel Swygman with his Biography.

Than the General and Kaicho both took hold of some white cloth which was draped over some ornament on the wall above. After they pulled it away it reveiled a 2 en a half meter long Marine blue wooden plank and in big red letters MARINE JON BLUMING DOJO. Kaicho looked up almost in disbelieve and as he said later that he never had a inkling that so much honor was bestowend upon him. It turned out that he already teached the Marines and te Navy for 42 years as he said in his speach Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine and I did it with great pleasure. Now I am happy that their is a real Japanese dojo in my name and I will also take great pleasure in training here and teach again.

Jan de Bruin the Dai Shihan for the Navy and Marines 7^th dan and coach of the IBK was the day after appointed by Col Swygman as dojo KANCHO. One of the walls was named the WALL OF FAME and their where all kinds of pictures on their from the day Kaicho became a Marine in Aug 1949 in the same boothcamp in Doorn, his Korea war time and than his amateur judo time and after that his Japan time and founder of the first karateunion and later also founder of the European Kyokushinkaikan until his 10^th dan 4^th of september 1994. The dojo with a real Shinden (temple of Budo) and pictures of the founders of the Kyokushinkai and Dutch Judo and Bojitsu and Kendo masters those who passed away on the right site and those still teaching on the left side of the Shinden. Some proverbs on the wall also from Kaicho like. WITHOUT 'KOKORO' BUDO IS BUT AN EMPTY SHELL.

Also under the Shinden a lovely inkt landscape by the SESSHU school, kakamono style, storm throug the trees and a man in a boat trying to to bring his boat home against te storm almost 300 years old and loaned to the dojo from Kaicho. After several demonstrations everybody was showed around the camp and than it was time for coffie in the longroom and the Commandant Col Swijgman invited the guest to a lovely luch and of course the famous Navy ricetable for it was Thursday. Kaicho said afterwards that this day he will never forget and a highlight in his fabulous live. He also said that he could have never done all the training ect without the terrific help of Jan de Bruin and his superieur but also his student Capt Klaas Wit Capt Siem Hollander, Sgt Maj Willem Zwart and of course the General and the Colonels and many others from the last 10 years. Kaicho thanks everyone from deep inside his hearth and KOKORO.

Sunday the 12^th of November was the big event in several Martial arts divisions in the big AHOY hal in Rotterdam. Also on was the challenge one of the old opponents of our KANCHO Henk Kuipers for a oldfashioned fight Full Contact Kyokushin. But the man chickened out and so they brought in the old fighthorse Patterson who did a good job but our Chairman won on desicion which is not bad for 42 years of age.

An embarrassing incident happened when a black fighter of the kamakura dojo with his coach Gerard Gordeau (the former Kancho of the IBK who was relieved of this function in may 06) refused to get out of the ring after his student lost which everyone could see. Their complain was that they did not know that how many rounds the fighting was for (which of course is NUTS for it is the first thing as coach you must know before the fight starts) They kicked away the cup for second place and screamed and made a complete ASS out of them selfs. I was really surprised that a coach and kancho of the kamakura dojo could let himself go that way and I was very happy and satified that kamakura went their own way together with that Jackass jan de jong.

After this incident I got from many sides congratulations that I made my mistake and misjudging Gerard Gordeau for a major function in the IBK and had the strenght to CORRECT that after all what happened in spring time when they really tried to screw me and the IBK. Now I know that I did the right thing and so does everybody else. Than another funny thing happened and this man must have brain damage. The name jack v.d velde who calls himself 6th dan in karate. And WHY because he challenged our KANCHO Henk Kuipers who is a REAL 7th dan from the IBK. Of course Kancho jumped at this opportunity as I would in his case. As a matter of fact I would like a crack against jackje for I am only 73 and from the waist down 37. Now dont put up any money for I am sure that this man will find a way out for he has NEVER fought in his whole life on the mat and certainly not on the street. Why he does this challenge, well he has not been in the picture much lately and their is nobody around any famous so he can stand besides him and have his picture taken for his magazine which is full of proverbs and nonsens so this is his way of getting in the picture again. Every body else thinks he is an Jackass which in my opinion he has PROVEN many times.

It is mostly because of the hard work IBK member Tom Matson 5^th dan and the new member in LA of the Arminian martial arts coalition and family union of Arminia Mihran Achvinian 6^th dan IBK that together with the sponsor our own KANCHO Henk Kuipers that I finally was on my way to the USA again to visit old friends. Thank you Friends OSU.

The 25^th of october I was again in the USA to visit finally my old friend Gene Lebell and his best student EVER. Gokor Chivichiyan in LA California. It was a terrific expirience espescial seeing Gene at work with 74 years behind him and not as a bureauchief either. That is real BUDO with capital letters and so is his best student GOKOR. Seeing both of them at work no matter if it is judo, jiu jitsu, karate, Sambo or the whole combination as Allround fighting my eyes could hardly believe it and it made me very happy that I even could learn some new waza from them.

We gave together a seminar on the 12^th of november in LA at the dojo of Gokor a real no nonses machi dojo. All his students know the real business and really work hard on the allround style which made both of them Gene and Gokor REAL LEGENDS and NOT the Bruce Lee movie style. Gene who has seen it all since 1950 and who was the first Heavy weight and all Over Champion in Judo in the USA 1952 and 1953 and throw the tough judoka like John Osako and all others usually in 20 seconds even if his weight was only about 80 kilos in those days.

He stopped competing and started in Free style wrestling because he had to make a living and than also became a stunt man and has been in a hunderd movies with stunts usual with motorbikes and cars and bit parts. He also knows about all of them famous actors and had lovely stories about them. His most famous is with Steven Seagall who is kind of a pain in the backside where the sun does not shine and really thinks he the strongest and best fighter in the world and it is good that he thinks so for everybody else thinks he is really something completely else, to put it nicely.

At some movie rehearsels some years ago, Gene was also in the scene with stunts and showing them how to do certain fightingscenes. When Gene was in kind of a circle during the shooting and behind Steven Seagall, Steven said, trying to be the jackass he always is putting down people, Gene I know you are behind me which means your ass is mine. Gene said, No its the other way around and I like to show you. Steven said, Oh no because I do this and that and thats it. Well putt your mouvement where your mouth is Gene said. Well Steven was so stupid to do just that and Gene turned around closed in and put his now legendary choke on Steven and hold on untill he was OUT.

To makes things more pleasant for the watching crowd Steven CRAPPED in his pants while out and shaking and to make matters really smooth, also PISSED all over himself to great delight of everybody their which showed how much respect they have for this bigmouth. Only the director who saw his topboy going down in shame was not amused and Gene was fired. To top things off the newspaper got hold of the story and so Gene name was
in gold.

Than the really sore looser tried to get Gene into court but since he ask Gene to make his move the judge told him to F..., Off. Just recently Gene had a loudmouth) their are a lot of them in the States) who was the announcer on some TV program who on the way to the studio really tried to put Gene down in front of other people of that event. Gene did not say anything no matter how disgusting the man was. When they finally where at the ring side and he wanted to start announcing, Gene said, just a second I have first a kind of announcement to make.. This man has been a pain in the but all the way to this place and he has a terrible attitude which I must correct now. Than Gene put in a split seconds his arms around the mans neck and choked
him out competely. He too pissed his pants and the crowd was delighted. ThaT is GENE, no nonsense and like Murphies law Dont Fuck with Murphie.

He really made his legendary name when he was challenged by a rought top boxer in those days and a dirthy streetfighter name SAVAGE The fight was on in the early 50ties and Savage came up with BRASH KNUCKLES on both fist. Since it was agreed that anything goes Gene said let him keep the damn things. One time during the first round he hit Gene in the belly and broke with those brash knuckles his black belt clean in two. After several rounds it was clear that Savage could not hit Gene for KO and when Gene throw him ') I seen the film ' ) with a left harai goshi clean of the ground and bored Savage into the mat and got him into his now famous choke and kept him their. When they finally plucked him off of the guy he was out cold and stayed that way for more than 20 minutes which was not really good for his litlle braincells and Gene had to sneake out the sporthall for they wanted to knife him because everybody thought that Gene was dead meat for Savage who had a horrible streetfight name and all bet for Savage but Gene.s brother took all bets and of course bet on Gene. They made more that 80.000 dollars which was unbelieveble good money in those days. Savage NEVER fought again. And nobody else wanted to fight GENE.

Gene also has about broken every bone in his body with the stunts and has many awards from that period for he was also in that division a topper. How really tough he is he showed them when his ribs where broken and stuck throught the skin. In hospital they wanted to put him under which he flatly refused and they just set the bones and put the stitches in without any sedative whatever. He is really something else. And I am honored that he is my friend and also now a 9^th dan in the IBK in Judo and All round. Gokor his best student for many year is from Arminia and for many years with Gene. His dojo is also called Gene Lebells and Gokors dojo but is really Gokors dojo and Gene just comes in once a week and scares the pants of the others. So does Gokor for I have seen in my 52 years in Budo NEVER anything like it and what more one can do with his opponents.

Seeing him move with judo throws is lovely and rough fast, getting his opponent down is profesional and on the ground they are really his with leglocks , arm locks and chokes from every position. He is now to my great pleasure also a 9^th dan of the IBK. So Gokors best student Ken Harte who joined the IBK with his dojo and is now a 6th dan IBK also his other best student Dana Charvet als 6^th dan of the IBK.

Than to the nice dojo of our new member IBK Mihran Achvinian who really went out of his way to show me around and in general took terrific care of me. The Arminian night ) Yearly ) was a family affair of all Arminians with demonstrations of the kids and Sr of the Reseda dojo in LA and of course eating typical Arminian dishes and a lot of dancing. And than I was called out and up front for all this wonderfull families they made me an ARMINIAN KNIGHT complete with nice plaque and sword and my name changed into Arminian like Blumingian. Well so be it and I love it. He took me to the house of Gene Lebell and we talked for hours about the old days and what happened in between ect. Also to Gokors and saw some dvd about fights which was very impressive no wonder they rather eat with him than fight. Mihran is now the DAI SHIHAN for California a good man in the right place. Gene Lebell and Gokor Chivichiyan are both honorary member of the IBK ranked 9^th dan Mihran is now 6^th dan IBK.

Than we went to the other LEGENDS in the USA. Bob Wall and Chuck Norris. They really did a lot for the martial arts in the States and espescial Bob who has a terrific business mind made them both a few 100 million dollars. So if you still think that money does not make you happy, than I suggest that you talk to Bobb and Chuck your self. For it made them happy BIG TIME and they stopped working for money in 2000 for they had enough and now want to live the good life. And believe you me they just are doing that. Chuck was away to give the troops in Iraq a lift with his apearance and they sure where happy with him. We had a lovely dinner and talked and talked about all things important and I realized that I should have met them and be friends long ago, but what he hell it is not really to late. He talked also about the BLACK BELT organisation he started years ago and that anybody can be a member AND it does NOT cost anything just to be a member and espescial people in the USA have a lot of good things coming from that membership.

Chuck puts a lot back into the martial arts by teaching underprivileged kids in the slumps, karate for FREE. A real Budoka. Than to RENO to my old pal GARY FRIEDERICH whom I know from the old days in Tokyo 1966 where he started with Shotokan but changed that after many years to more realistic fighting. However he still has good contact with his old Sensei Nishimura. Gary was also in the vietnam war around 67 and 68 with the 173^rd para reg and was forward controler around the Laos border with the Special forces was wounded and recommanded the silver star and the Purple hearth and REFUSED both and after got out of the Army. Now years later it turned out that he was in the middle also of AGENT ORANGE and what the NVA couldt do the rotten orange stuff did. His fingers and toes curled like arfritus like a terrible Rheuma. So he cannot do what he used to do in 1966 and later training with weights which made him really strong and with a weight of only some 72 kilo he was for most heavyweights to HOT TO HANDLE. It really hurts me so see him suffer and what gets me really is that he NEVER FUCKING COMPLAINES. What a Budoka and he runs his dojo with the help of reall good students from before like he is still the champ.

So his Shihandai Pete Frandsen does a lot of the training and does it very well and he is now the DAI SHIHAN for the State of NEVADA with Garies dojo. Gary of course is also DAI SHIHAN with the rank of 7^th dan IBK nd Pete 6^th dan IBK. His other shihan is Richard DUNN who made 5^th dan IBK and Dale Slingland made 1^th dan IBK. A wonderfull new dojo where they where just making the last adjustments to open the dojo next day. Gary who has the most terrific humor I have seen and heard in a long time just make you happy to be alive and have such good friends like he never changed since the last time he was in Amsterdam in 1971. All by all it was a good trip and besides meeting so many old friends and new ones it was the respect they showed me espescial when Bob Wall told me that Chuck and he started Karate that they had two idols and that was Gene Lebell and Jon Bluming. I heard from Gene the same and felt humbled and very much honored. In that way it is good to still be in the picture and hope that that will be still a long time to come. Friends thanks a lot and I sure will keep you in my thoughts and may the Gods smile upon you and your loved ones.

BEARHUG FOR ALL : Jon Bluming Kaicho of the IBK.

The 23rd of September was a big day for the IBK. From all over Europe and Russia and Aruba also where the Dai shihans in Klazinaveen for the official opening of the International Kyokushin budokaikan HONBU. Chairman Henk Kuipers who in the recent moinths worked like a workcoholic on the dojo which is one of the biggest and most beautifull certainly in Europe.

Kaicho Jon Bluming made a great speach and memorized that after some jackasses tried to take over his work of the IBK on which Kaicho worked now for 26 years, and really tried to shaft him, he said that they went away
with the tail between their ugly legs and have now only three dojos, and he said he never wants to see them again. Also that the best decision he ever made was to apoint Henk Kuipers also KANCHO so he will take over the whole IBK after Kaicho will teach in high heaven. Kancho Kuipers also put up EURO 50.000 for cost of running the IBK for many dojos have up till now not really kept the commitment.

Kancho recieved a beautifull Japanese KOI from his friend Raymond Kuyer. A selfmade miljonair who als runs a Koi import company in Sleen Netherlands and in Germany, a Tate Koi worth at least twice the mondal income of the average working force, and Robert Matulessy 6^th dan IBK and last but not least Kaicho. The Koi stays in the main pond in Sleen untill Kancho has his new house build with a pond by the house. With that he also recieved a beautifull Frame with inside why he got this present and a big picture of the KOI, white, 65 cm, with on his head a Japanese sign of an 8^th which is very rare and the future grade of Kancho.

Also in the Honbu is a part in a corner which is made in a Museum for KAICHO Jon BLuming with many picture of the old days and his certificates some swords and other weapons and a YOROI 300 years old suit of armor from a officer rank samurai judging from the head gear with is with the fur of a bear. Every black belt got his new OBI with his grade and name on their in gold tread. Several budokai said that the IBK was certainly now on a very new level and unprecedented in martial arts history. Loyalty, honor an respect molded into a great family who all have the same ideals and life in BUDO. For the first time in the last 26 years the new Kancho travels much around the world presents himself and gives seminars which show all of them that he is no pushover.

What a terrific improvement after mr Jan de Jong which put IBK almost back into the stone age with his lies and sneaky ways. A brandnew era for IBK which made Kaicho tremendously happy for now he knows that IBK is in good hands when he steps out. Also In Russia a new wind flies around the country now that Sergey Kosorotov
8^th dan Judo IBK made his second big dojo and his third magazine (the only ones in Russia) and calls the dojo the Budokai research dojo for martial arts. Together with the Dai Shihan Sergey Badyuk, 6^th dan IBK who is really dedicated to the IBK and works with the KANCHO for Russia Georgy Astafiev 7^th dan IBK of Siberia to really make IBK big also in Russia.

Kaicho thanks all of you for the terrific family spirit and dedication and espescially the respect and loyality showen to him and those who travelled from so far away just to be there which lifted his spirit to great hights. And than of course his love to the new Kancho and chairman Henk Kuipers 7^th dan IBK for all his honest work to set the IBK again on the worldmap for everybody to see and showing himself to all to see that he is a WORTHY
Kancho.

GREAT HONOR FROM TE DUTCH MARINES FOR THE FORMER MARINE (1949. class 13 ) JON BLUMING.

After 42 years instructing the Dutch Navy and the Dutch marines their will now be a official DOJO in traditional Japanese style at the Boothcamp of the Marines in DOORN Netherlands of 150 sq Mt complete with Kamizee ( place for the top senseis) and Shinden ( dojo temple) proverbs made for his promotion to 10^th dan in 1994 of Jon Bluming, Pictures of the Sensei's ect. The dojos will official be opened the end of November 2006 and will be named MAR JON BLUMING DOJO. All this espescial because of the tremendous support of Gen. Maj. Rob Zuiderwyk Commandant of the Dutch Marines and Col. Swygmans Commandant of the Marine Booth camp Doorn and Lt. Col. Tom Verbaan Commandant of the second Marine Bataillon Doorn and than last but certainly not least Sgt. Jan de Bruin 7^th dan IBK and Dai Shihan of the IBK for the Navy and the Marines also coach of the IBK. After hearing this good news Kaicho was in high spirits for this great honor and said I remember the day in Aug 1949 when I entered boothcamp at age 16 after the 2nd WW when he was begging and stealing to keep the family alive in the hungewinter 44 on 45. It was very hard for a wild kid after the war to keep out of trouble but it certainly set me on my way in this wonderfull but terrible world and I never regretted it. Once a MARINE ALWAYS A MARINE which got me really in my last 20 years. And I am espescially very proud on the job they do now after many years of just doing their base duty. The last 5 years they turned into real fighting Marines and the world loves and respects them. May the GODS smile on them and their families.

Oyama spoke glowingly of his student Bluming. Perhaps somewhat like a "mouthful of hot molasses" (too hot to swallow and too sticky to spit out), despite Bluming's confident arrogance, Oyama undoubtedly appreciated his young student's strength and knowledge. Bluming created quite a stir at the Oyama Dojo with his strong judo throwing and groundwork skills combining well with his solid, 100kg+ frame against the generally much smaller karate-ka. Oyama even said that he regarded Bluming as his strongest gaijin student of those early days. Besides Oyama, Bluming can count among his teachers the legendary judo 10th Dan Kyūzo Mifune (1883-1965) as well as his friend Draeger.

According to Bluming, whom I first met and spent many hours with in May, 2006, he is a Kodokan 9th Dan and was the first non-Japanese to receive his 6th Dan in karate from Oyama. After training in Japan for some time he returned to Holland in 1961 with a 6th dan in both Kodokan and Kyokushin.

Always controversial-you either love or hate Jon Bluming but you cannot deny him-not surprisingly, everyone seems to have an opinion of him. His influence on martial arts is unquestioned-in Holland and, if you consider the successes of his students (Bluming mentioned as former students Johan Vos and Thom Harrinck whose many students have had tremendous success in the kickboxing ring, 1967 and 1971 world judo champion and duel Olympic judo gold medallist (1972) Wilhelm Ruska (whose main teacher was the great Tokio Hirano) and Rings and Sambo World Champion Chris Dolman), on the world stage as well.

There is no doubt Bluming shoots from the hip. If he has an opinion, he'll let you know. This certainly rubs anyone with something to hide up the wrong way and can make anyone uncomfortable. I personally found him humorous, charming and very much loving of Oyama, despite his opinions. If one looks behind the gruffness and his somewhat "awkward" approach to tact and truth, he has so much incredible history and knowledge to share. Bluming was right there in the midst of the action in Japan for a number of years and has a lifetime of incredible experience (which is obvious when you listen carefully to his opinions of the state of the martial arts and its connection to realistic fighting). When talking about training and fighting, I felt his comments were very realistic and reflected his decades of experience.

Bluming is not so well known in Kyokushin outside of Europe simply because he left the mainstream Kyokushin world in 1970 for his own reasons. In Holland, I doubt if there would be a black belt in any martial art who does not know of him. After leaving Kyokushin, Bluming started teaching his own eclectic style of Kyokushin-based karate and the best of judo's throws and groundwork which he named Kyokushin Budokai. It is interesting that this eclectic mix of realistic fighting is, since the popularity of mixed martial events in the last decade or so, only now being seen for the benefits it always had when Bluming has been advocating its effectiveness for four decades. Oyama agreed with him, at least by his actions if not by his words that karate without at least a fundamental base in grappling was not complete. That is why he spent years training in newaza at the Sone Dojo of judo.

In an interview with US-based martial artist and author Jose Fraguas, Bluming said the following:

"I was the third man in the kyokushinkai after my Sensei, Kenji Kurosaki, who really showed me in those years how to fight for real. Mas Oyama was like a father to me. He never let me pay for anything and always helped me out when I was low on money. He was a terrific teacher and really could raise my spirit when I felt really low. He also could put the fear of God into his students when they did not train the way he wanted them to train. It was the best years in my life. There were no politics or anything like that. I was simply training and felt like a God.

"...I was really shocked when he died. I felt like a very close family member or friend passed away. I did my best to pay him back by organizing his system in Europe. At that time, most budoka did not know what karate was and none were in a real dojo in Europe. That was in the 1960s. I loved to go around and show them the kyokushinkai style, and for those who didn't believe in the style and challenged me, I had to beat the piss out of them! What was funny is that most of them usually became dedicated students of our style.

"When I started karate in March 1959, I was a third dan in judo. I marched around in Oyama Sensei's dojo for years with a white belt. I was promoted to fourth dan in 1963 and sixth dan on January 15, 1965. There were some Budoka who complained about me being a sixth dan. Mas Oyama wrote in a United States martial arts magazine that he would pay $100,000 to anyone who could beat me in a ko-shiai. Besides that, he said he would take my ranking away if I lost the fight, he would go into politics and stop teaching karate. I thought he was joking, but he was not. Honestly, I was not really happy with this challenge because I was too busy with my schools and business in Europe at the time. There was only one who showed up in my dojo, and that was Kwan Mo Gun, a fifth dan and the all-over Korean champ. I still have high regards for that budoka who wanted to fight me. He was beaten terribly by my student, Jan Kallenbach, a third dan, and then by Kurosaki, who had been training for a year in my dojo, and then finally by me. Some are probably wondering why I didn't take him on first. Well, my students begged me to let them go first, otherwise there wouldn't be anything left for them to fight! Jan later became a European heavyweight champion. I really admired Kwan and his spirit because every time he was knocked out he woke up, got on his feet and said in loud voice, "And now Bluming!" You have to respect that.

At one stage in the interview, Fraguas asked, "With whom would you like to have trained that you have not?" Bluming replied:

Nobody. I say this because I was fortunate to have met and trained under the most famous and legendary sensei in Japan between 1959 and 1980. I don't think I missed a thing. One of the best was Donn F. Draeger. He really made me who I was in judo and gave me the body for which I always longed. In 1959, he took me from being a skinny 79 kilos to a solid 102 kilos dynamo. I came out on top because I had the speed and flexibility of a middleweight but the body and strength of a heavyweight. Then, of course, there was Oyama Sensei and especially Kenji Kurosaki Sensei. In Kodokan judo, I had all the famous champions and sensei in the Kenshusei (Research training group: author's note). There was Mifune, Daigo. Osawa, Kaminaga, Inokuma, Koga, et cetera. In bo-jitsu, it was Shimizu Sensei and Ichitaro Kuroda Sensei. Yamaguchi "The Cat" was a very good friend of mine. Like Frank Sinatra said in one of his songs, "I had it all."

How good was the famous Draeger? According to the 9th Dan Kanemitsu, Draeger was one of the best on the ground and had he concentrated just on his judo newaza he could have beaten anyone. in 1959 he was easily beating all the Kodokan 3rd and 4th dans, finishing 6th dans and holding his own against top 7th dan instructors. He even drew in a 10 minute battle on the mat with Shibayama, a 6th dan who was considered the best on the ground in Japan at the time. Shibayama, who had also worked with Geesink (Olympic gold medallist in Tokyo, 1964) and the great Gene LeBell, said Draeger was the best. Quite a compliment considering Draeger is often remembered more as an historian and scholar than a judo-ka. At the time he was a 4th dan. He eventually moved right away from judo, disillusioned with the direction it was taking as a sport and the damage the sport was causing to his body.

The Journal of Combative Sport, November 1999edition, published a series of letters Draeger had written to Robert W Smith, his co-author in the historical text "Asian Fighting Arts", during the years1959 to 1974. The letters included these comments:

"Bluming is a real killer, standing 6'5" (193cms) and 230lbs (105kgs). Solid muscle via weights.

"Bluming is now ranked 6th dan in Oyama (Kyokushin Kai) karate. Does very little judo, but saw him smash a few yesterday which took me back to the old days. More aggressive now and only limited by his aches and pains, which are many. Bluming has challenged any and all karate men in Japan, but no takers.

Some time ago I got a mail from Kazuo Takahashi, a former Kyokushin Honbu member from the early years. I met him around 1966 in the honbu and we became friends. I have not heard of him since 1972 when my Sensei Kenji Kurosaki left Honbu and the Kyokushin kaikan. Here is the letter and after I went to Japan in February 2006 I talked to many old members and senseis of the old days and found out that in great lines the story Kazuo send me was TRUE which made me very sad especially after seeing MAMA Oyama in her last days in the hospital and heard there also what happened and since then her face is still etched in my mind and so I decided to publish this letter.

OSU Dear Jon Bluming Sensei. I write this letter with great sorrow for all the things that happened after Sosai died. First a funny matter happened after his dead. He was not that ill and we all where sure he would be out and around in a few weeks. All of a sudden he died and we where all very surprised. His Daughter Kuristina Oyama was still in the USA for her study and she called to the hospital to preserve the body of her father in order that there could be an autopsy as soon as she returned to Japan. ODDLY enough on order most probably of Matsui (who claimed to be the successor of Sosai which was a great LIE and he lost the high court case) the body was as fast as possible CREMATED so that their was no proof or anything to show what really happened. DON'T forget that there were elements of the top YAKUZA involved for whatever reason. Anyway that was the end we all were thinking. But then during the funeral events there was a wooden case besides the coffin in the room for all (as is the custom in Japan) to put in envelopes with money for the WIDOW of Sosai. Matsui still claimed to be the BOSS in those days and after the ceremony he took the wooden case and that was the last they have seen of that. The widow Oyama never received the money. After that Matsui together with sensei like Midori and several others took over the Honbu and in short time the bank account was not what it was before and some years later the Widow of Sosai could not pay the mortgage anymore on the house in Tokyo and was thrown out of their own house because of that.

NONE of the RICH old students of Oyama the budoka he really trusted did anything to help Mother Oyama.

They did however put in many articles in sports magazines how much they loved Sosai and how he was their real Father etc etc. Beautiful Yakuza love stories while they robbed the Honbu clean. After that the widow Oyama got a terrible brain attack and went to hospital where she spent several years in despair and could not move and could not talk and was taken care of by her Daughter and her husband Suzuki (who is now the Honbu Chief Instructor and does a terrific good work) and who won all court cases 28 in all and the end still not in sight but the main victory was that Matsui was thrown out of the Honbu by the high court decision that he was a liar and had no business with the Kyokushin kai.

Now he calls his organisation Ichi Geki which means just kickboxing and is still a powerful man in that business but EVERY body knows what happened and they don't really trust him.

Second terrible insult was the way Midori went to the Temple in Tokyo where the grave of Sosai is located and told and intimidated the local priest that they, he and his organization, were the real owners of the Honbu and therefore they must have the rights to the grave etc etc and not the family. So when they came to pay their respects they where told that they had to ask permission to those two because the rights where signed over to them and they payed the cost and maintenance of the grave.

Midori (a very rich man from rich father) told them on the telephone that they where out and should not bother him anymore. Kuristina Oyama and Suzuki went to the biggest and most popular magazine in Japan and told and proved the story and so it was written for all to see and Midori found out that his brains where not really working because of greed and power crazy.

He finally called Kuristina Oyama and told them that they could have the rights back and he signed it over to the real family and that was it. So everybody could see again what kind of ugly students Sosai really had. Well the widow. Mother Oyama died some months ago under terrible agony and the Honbu is getting back on their feet after this ordeal. Now everybody can be a member of the new Honbu in memory of Sosai for they don't want to sell the Honbu but want to fight to maintain the memory and the museum in the Honbu and Sosai's karate legacy. I hope also that you can do something about this at least get out the truth of those terrible people who call themselfs students of Oyama Sosai and behave like gangsters.

Sorry that I confront you with this letter but you where the first 6^th dan in the Kyokushinkaikan and Sosai loved you and always talked about you so please help.

It came to our attention from different members of the IBK that their is again a group who claim that they operate under the umbrella of the IBK and Kaicho Jon Bluming. and even have the nerve to claim that Kenji Kurosaki is their Honorary President and Sem Schilt their Tech director. This is all a unbelieveble LIE and this organisation called BIKO is NOT a member of the IBK and Kaicho or Kurosaki or Sem Schilt has NOTHING to do with them. Als Kaicho has NEVER given a seminar of PROMOTE budoka of this organisation and NEVER WILL. Their is a investigation for the former Dai Shihan in Germany Leonardo Voinescu who seems to be the initiator of this all. During this investigation he is relieved of all his work for the IBK untill this is settled. If anyone has a certificate from Leonardo Voinescu SIGNED by Kaicho Jon Bluming of the IBK or any other certificate of the BIKO organisation SIGNED by Kaicho Jon Bluming PLEASE send a copy to the KANCHO of the IBK Chairman Henk Kuipers 7^th dan e mail h.cooper@planet.nl in order to se if the signature ect is correct. If not the IBK will see if their is a way to give them the real certificate but only if they deserve that. The ONLY DAI SHIHAN in Germany is LIVER WITTE at present 5^th dan of the IBK.

FOR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

Their is a little confusion about the IBK and who is member and who not. It is very easy just look at the REAL IBK websites and when you do not find the names on it who claim to be member of the IBK than they are NOT. Mr de Jong is the one I KICKED out of the IBK because of his behaviour and his very sneaky way to try to take over mine and our IBK by making a foundation in which I did NOT have any say anymore and eventually had to listen to a socalled foundation management in which I was no part. I found this out the hard way and at a time that this imposter thought that their was nothing I could do about that but take their decisions and shut up.

I am amazed at the brutality and the socalled BUDO way or KOKORO this man and the very few who dreamed this foundation up and stood behind him. They trampled on the family way of the IBK "LOYALTY, RESPECT and DEDICATION". Now to set matters straight about the IBK. OF course I DID NOT and NEVER WILL step out of the IBK which I founded in 1980 with Jan de Bruin at present PR man of the IBK and Caoch of the IBK 7^th dan also Dai Shihan of the Dutch Navy. Mr Jan de JONG is NOT anymore Secretary or MEMBER of the IBK. His foundation has no rights in our IBK and is a empty foundation with no sponsors who are the only ones member of his foundation. Since I was the only one who put money from the dojos of the IBK in this foundation and of course do not do so anymore it is a EMPTY SHELL. KAMAKURA dojo decided after this purge to go their own way and are NO longer member of the IBK. Also Istvan Adamy whom I made 8^th dan after all his years in Budo and when the Kyokushinkaikan Hondu of Matsui expelled him and when Loek Hollander took away his 6^th dan ????? And for thank you, he decided also to go his own way and even had the nerve to say he goes further with the IBK. WHAT IBK? he does NOT have a IBK and now certainly is NOT a member of our IBK. (see the website of the real IBK where Henk Kuipers is the Chairman http://www.internationalkyokushinbudokaikan.com) He also refuses to send back the 180 membership cards I gave him to make his students member of the IBK last year. he has not payed for any of them and the membership cards are still in his possesion. Now how do they call that ...stealing, or what????? So thats all NOBODY of our IBK in the world went with this de JONG or are behind Kamakura dojo which is only a dojo with 20 members in the IBK. Last year so as far as that goes the IBK shall not miss this dojo.

The IBK has after different dojos found out that de Jong and kamakura dojo where not in the IBK anymore only in the Netherlands 19 more dojo's and more mails from aspirant members. In the world about 22 more dojos. Italy being the last one with Topas Sensei. For all those Loyal members and your support mails and letters thank you. Please do not go to Budapest if you think it is still a IBK international summercamp. This will be next year in CROATIE by the Kaspian Sea and organized by the Dai Shihan of Croatie MLADEN SANCIC 6^th dan. And in Holland organized by the chairman and in Germany organized by Oliver Witte and the shihans. The first championship will be the 8^th of october in Emmen organized by the chairman. FINALLY after all the stupid KUCHI WAZA of de Jong for more than two years we are full steam ahead with a terrific program. The 16 of Sepember the third survival day at the MARINE boothcamp in DOORN, Holland. Last time their where more than 450 Budokan this time we will only take 350 for the kids must be 15 year of age. Next meeting for me is in Tokyo with Yotsky Matsuura Sosai and Kenji Kurosaki Sensei in the frist 10 days of October.

The seminar in Hamburg Germany the weekend of the 18^th of June was a great succes with ore than 100 budoka. 8 Budoka where promoted one 7^th dan the dojo of Holger Boldt a famous champion and Kyokushin Budoka from the early days his brother Mike Boldt 6^th dan one 2^nd dan and 4 shodans. Proficiat well done and another two terrific dojos with KOKORO in the IBK. From the 14^th untill the 17^th of August the summercamp of my old student (when I was caoch in Belgium) Geert Lemmens 8^th dan IBK in BUSUM by the East Sea. A little more than a week after that event the summercamp of Peter Valentin see the website for the dojo of Peter and his email for INFO about this camp.

I will be there together with the chairman Henk Kuipers 7^th dan.

If you look at the website de jong the website he stole from the Kaicho's IBK you still see many dojos even countries on their who are NOT members of de jong or Kamakura but have send mails telling them that they want to have absolutely NOTHING to do with jan de jong and to take
them off the STOLEN website. But de jong still keeps them on their because it will look very foolish and very empty if he puts on the ones who are with him and that is ONLY. Kamakura dojo 20 members Kyokushin, Katsu dojo 80 members (Holland) de jong zeeland dojo 30 members (holland) and Foreign countries ONLY Hungary Adamy Istvan. Now it is almost for sure that Adamy will present the OFFICAL membership cards of Kaicho Jon Bluming's IBK, as being the the cards of his dojo. That of course is not so and will not be recognized by the official IBK because those cards are stolen from Kaicho and Adamy on his own account is NOT a member anymore of the IBK. So he also uses the name IBK to make money and promote his summercamp which is only KYOKUSHIN karate NOT All Round. Again the Budapest summerschool is NOT the international summercamp of the IBK and Kaicho will not be there or any of the Dai Shihans of the world dojos IBK of Kaicho's official IBK. Only Mladen Dai Shihan of Croatie has persmission to go because he already payed for the camp in advance. Next year their will be three camps one in Holland one in Germany and the International summercamp will be in Croatie by de Adriatic sea resort one of the most beautifull country sides in the world. Now again several trusted budoka who got their DAN and position from KAICHO pissed on his head. BUT the most funny part is that NONE of those ever send back their GRADES to Kaicho for I sure as hell would NOT want a grade from a Budoka who is as bad as this strange people claim he is. Like a criminal with a criminal record, stole money from the IBK (very funny because the only money the IBK cash had KAICHO put that in there) He grades people who dont deserve that AND THAT WAS DAMN RIGHT, socalled Hanshis Shihans and sensei's. Now one more thing besides being the teacher of so many worldchamps and other champs in the world and having helped so many Senseis who where kicked out by other organisations to get on their feet again and feel home in his FAMILY the IBK. AND that is he was BODYGUARD by our PRINCE BERNHARD on many occasions also the Royal family on the birthsday of the PRINCE at the Palace. SO STOP that SHIT about criminal record for to be bodyguard by the Royal Family and be aloud on the Palace premisess you have to be cleared by the Dutch Secret service, the Police and the Palace Royal service. And is at the moment the most decorated MARINE still alive at 73 years of age. (26 medals) and the highest medal for Bravery of the Special forces of the USA plus another for bravery "the army commendation medal with V" and the highest medal of the Japanese Police for kicking ass with three Yakuza in Tokyo, and three Purple Hearts ( three times wounded during action ). WHAT HAVE YOU DONE IN YOUR LIFE????? That you dont like KAICHO you proved that, also you proved that you have NO LOYALTY, NO KOKORO and certainly NO RESPECT. And that goes especially for the LIAR jan de jong, and the idiot sjaak v.d velde who made himself 6^th dan but never fought in his life. BOY how I pity your way of life for it must be terrible knowing that you NEVER did anything to deserve RESPECT and eveybody knowing what you really are. Well keep it up in order that those who dont know yet also be enlighted.

It is with great pleasure that the IBK has appointed the old HONBU dojo in Tokyo THE HONORARY DOJO in the IBK in MEMORY OF SOSAI. Also that the technical commision of the IBK with the KAICHO Jon Bluming 10^th dan and members Henk Kuipers 7^th dan , Joop Reilman 8^th dan and Jan de Bruin 7^th dan have promoted the new Kancho of the Honbu in Tokyo YOSHIKAZU SUZUKI (3^rd in the all Japan) and KURISTINA OYAMA (the Tigres) youngest daughter of Oyama Sosai and the wife of the new Kancho of the Honbu 2^nd dan. We hope that under the guidance of this two devoted budoka the Honbu will again have a bright and prospereus new future in that famous dojo where I had for years such a wonderfull time with Sosai and the budoka of those yesteryears espescial Kurosaki Sensei. Very soon I will outline what we can do to help the Honbu dojo in Tokyo in cooperation with their Dai Shihan Cameron Quin. It is also very clear to me that those two are NOT in it for the money BUT to preserve this most famous DOJO in the WORLD and the office which is now a very beautifull museum where the whole sphere cries out to those who know what is was about to have trained there in the old days. I for one am very proud to have had the honor together with my great friend, my pal Bill Backhus to be the first gaijin to train in the old dojo behind Rikyu University (April 1959) and see it grow into the new real Honbu in Ikebukuro and the look of happiness on Sosai's face when he showed me his acomplisment in march 1966. For me those where the most happy years of my life from febr 1959 untill nov 1961 and than again from march 1966 untill aug 1966 when I had to go back to Holland because I broke my neck and they did not know what to do at the police hospital. It is not many days that I dont think about those years and Sosai. Now that I carry some torch rather I know what difficulties he had also with his students and now I understand why he dismissed so many of them. For their can only be ONE CAPTAIN on the ship.

Well so much for the good old days.

Further news is that the Kamakura dojo with the brothers Gordeau Gerard and Nico decided to go their own way and as kancho of his Kamakura dojo I wish them all the best for they are real Budoka and not really team members and in the IBK they where more like Vatican city in Italy. Also Istvan Adamy from Hungary is no longer in the IBK for he decided to go with Kamakura. So they are NOT IBK members anymore and the summercamp in BUDAPEST is NOT a IBK camp from now on. The IBK summercamp will be held next year in Holland and in Germany and maybe in CROATIE. In August their is a summerschool in Germany with Valentin Shihan and you can contact the Dai Shihan Oliver Witte for that. I be at the summercamp for a few days of Geert Lemmens Hanshi in BUSUM from the 13^th untill the 17^th of August. It is now fore sure that I will go to LA in the USA to finally spent some time with my old friend GENE LEBELL 9^th DAN IBK and his unbeaten Shihandai GOKOR CHIVICHYAN HANSHI. Than for sure the first 10 days of October Japan Niigata and Kyoto and Tokyo with Shihan R.S. Matulessy and his friend Raymond Kuijer (Sleen).

Coming saturday the 18^th of June I am in the dojo of the BOLDT brothers in Hamburg. (see the dojo). On 30 may their was a promotion of the wellknown fighter Peter Verschueren to 5^th dan after he fought so many fights and won most of them despite a handicap of having no hand on his right arm his KO is wellknows also by his opponets of before. Since he is a long time member of the Amsterdam Hells Angels is was done at the Clubhouse of this famous Motorclub. We where welcomed by the President UNU who is like the family I married in of Amboinese origin. After being interduced to most of the members we had a little celebration and generally a very good time with this real motor devils. At the same night our new Chairman of the IBK Henk Kuipers who is also president of the Z.O.D. motorclub got after all those fighting years his 7^th dan. The IBK is really getting stronger every month with only in Holland now from 6 dojo with the Jong (expelled) now because of the hard work of espescial Jan de Bruin Henk Kuipers and Joop Reilman 23 dojos and more aplications.

I just got the news that your beloved MOTHER passed away this morning. When I heard this news I got a cold shiver over my back and tears in my eyes and the old days came back in flashes. For she always was wonderfull for me and my friend Bill Backhus. My sincere condolences for this great loss. Now that the Gods took care of this great suffering it is a good feeling to know that this great LADY has no more pain and is in the hands of the GODS. We all have lovely memories from her and that they cannot take away from us. If there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to contact me for you and the old Honbu where I had the best time of my life are always in my mind.

From the 10^th untill the 18th of may I was in Tokyo for several meetings with Kurosaki Sensei Matsuura Sosai and Kuristina Oyama ( youngest daughter of Oyama Sosai) ON sunday the 14^th I went to my old Sensei in Saitama and he already was waiting outside the station for me ALL SMILES. We had a long talk and lunch and dinner and I had a very good translater the new Secretary for the IBK Japan Kenji Fujiwara and his sister Akiko. Sensei has a bit of trouble with his knee and could not walk very good but his humor has not left him at all he is always joking around at age 76. I talk espescial about the trouble mr de Jong made and the dirthy way he tried to take over and asked sensei what he would have done. The answer was "you better not know" so I asked him that for Dutch standards did I do the right thing and he said definitely so, a rotten apple must be taken out of the basket. So thats that, he also said that anybody who believes this disturbed man should go with him and find out for themselfs and dont ever take them back for their loyalty and respect is ZERO and they will always be like that. After this wonderfull day I had a meeting with Yotsky Matsuura Sosai of the United World Karate Association. This unbelieveble rich man always dresses in old style Japanese like the old samurai and is a very dedicated martial arts budoka also very friendly. We talked about different things in Budo and about working together to make it better all around. We will have some more meeting's on that matter.

I trained one of his sons the Hawaii born Edward a young Budoka who is crazy about free fight and did many before for the Kurosaki dojo. We had a few hours session just in the big office together with another Japanese who had a nice scream everytime he landed in a armlock choke or leg lock. After a lovely dinner we had a nice time in his nightclub with 6 ladies from Rumania and Russsia and NO I did NOT. The last day I had a meeting with Kuristina Oyama (youngest daughter of Sosai ) and her husband a good looking Sensei called Suzuki and their Dai Shihan the wellknown Budoka and former translater for Sosai, Cameron Quin. After we went to the old Honbu and the Museum many things came up and we talked about that. I heard some terrible disturbing news about the aftermath of the dead of Sosai and the socalled dedicated karateka of the Honbu and what they did as soon as Sosai pased away. I will get a mail from some of his former student explaining what happend and that will on this newsletter. I already checked the story with several other Budoka with good names and it turns out to be all thrue. Cameron a real dedicated karateka also told me many things and proved it and than untill his surprise Kuristina asked me if I would like to visit her Mother who was in Hospital. OFF COURSE I would and Cameron warned me that I was in for a shock because she was certainly not as I remembered her from the last time I met her in 1995. In a very small hospital in a little room lay this wonderfull wife of Sosai in a terrible state after first a big brainattack and after that two more. She now is paralized and cannot talk or move and she could not weight more than 35 kilo. I really was shocked and moved to tears seeing this former beautifull woman so destroyed by the socalled SONS of her husband and his socalled best students who robbed the family of everything (see the letter).

She did recognize me as her daughter called out to her and several times told her who I was and that I came to visit her. Her eyes opened up and she looked at me and her eyes became moist. I stroked her hair and softly talked to her about the years long ago and what a wonderfull time we had in the HONBU. When I said good by and kissed her forehead I know that this was the last time I would see this lovely lady alive and it got to me. In the hall I broke down and felt lousy espescial that their was nothing I could really do. After that I talked to Cameron and said I will think about this because it is impossible for me to forget this and I will find a way to help. Than a funny story came up. He told me a strange man called Sjaak v.d. Velde mailed them many times and claimed he was a famous Shihan with many followers in the whole world and that he wanted them all to be connected with the HONBU so that the Honbu in memory of Sosai (he never even met Sosai and done NEVER Kyokushin karate) would be a lot stronger with his help. ONLY thing he needed was a certificate from the Honbu that he was their Branchief for Europe and to give him his 6^th dan. EN passant he told them NOT to listen to Jon Bluming for he was a terrible liar and he left the IBK because it was not a honest outfit. With that remark he sealed his future for Cameron did not really know this Jackass but after the last remark about Kaicho he now know the mans character right away. Another failed coward who would do anything to get some certificate. He invited him to the Honbu to do a examination. And than he mailed them his real KOKORO. He wanted to know what they could teach him for he was a master and that he smelled a con game for they wanted his money ect ect. Well a jackass always will be just that and the fun part is that everybody ALWAYS will find out sooner or later and in his case MUCH sooner. Dear members of the IBK.

On invitation of Raffi Liven in Aarhus Danmark I was in his new dojo ( a palace ) which he just opened. After a meeting about different events their where the yearly championship in memory of one of his best students who killed himself after a motor accident. This time the shia,s where a lot better than last year and their where some terrific bouts. The next day a short seminar with many old Budoka from before and than back home for two days later I had my invitation from Georgy Astafiev of Siberia. I thought that since it was already april that the snow and ice and the COLD would be gone. I nearly wet my pants when I got off the plane for it was 22 celsius UNDER and all the snow and ice still in place and this time the city was BRASCK. The youngest city in Russia only 50 years old. But the spirit of his students made up for that they are GOOD. What got me espescially this time where the young kids. In Holland usual the kids play around and it is difficult to keep their attention. NOT in Russia they dont play around and they are serieusly training the waza I show them. Lovely!!!!!! After the seminar their was the second day a heavy DAN test and again the budoka where really up to standards.

His Shihandai Ivan Molotov made 6^th dan a keen fighter and former champion who now is a fine teacher in All round and Kyokushin karate. All the new shodans and higher promotions showed their fighting ability and the technical side of karate and All Round. Siberia is now certainly by the best of Russia. Of course a big party that evening and than back to Moscou for Dan test and a seminar in the beautifull real Japanese styl dojo of the former Judo world champion 2000 together with the crack Jiu jitsu Kyoshi Alexander Arabajiev 6^th dan of the Japanese Kyojitsu Jissen Budo Academy in Japan. Lovely to see this sensei work with one arm his right arm he lost while in the Russian commandos doing his duty for Mother Russia.

Than after a meeting espescial with Sergey Badyuk 6th dan all the Dai Shihans in Russia agreed that Georgy Astafiev should be the KANCHO of the IBK for all of Russia and got promoted for all his work in all those years to 7^th dan. Badyuk Shihan is the driving power behind many events for the IBK. High light was the promotion fights for DAN. The new dojo of the Motor club PROSPECT MOSCOU ! ( Russian Hells Angels are now member of the IBK with 60 members. If they catch one using drugs, that member will be kicked out on BAD standing. Same if they are dead drunk. By dirthy clothing or not taking care of them selfs first a warning and than??? Real tough budoka. When they heard that they ahd to fight 30 budoka for the test they said they will fight 55 budoka in order that nobody can say that they dont belong. Love those guys. The president had to hold next day is side with two hands when I told him a joke. Of course he made shodan EASY. Also in Siberia three more dojos and in Moscou several. I really love the Russian people they are hard driven, respectfull and work hard to get somewhere. Moscou is not only my new students now for several years but much more than that its FAMILY. Also a priest from the Holy Mary church in Moscou Father Ioan Ohlobistin, did the test and succeded also for Shodan and he blessed the dojo and the Budoka and his singing was real touching. I visited his church one of the most beautifull in Russia and the World. The first all round championships where held in Moscou and when they say everything goes THAN EVERYTHING GOES REALLY. Even Gin geri and headbuts where aloud. And NO pussyfooting around but fighting untill one gives up or is Koed.

De longest fight was 35 minutes when the man just dropped and could not get up again. They looked at me in the clubhouse of the motor club where they where showing on a big screen the shia,s and said this is what you always told us REAL fighting. And they where right certainly when you compare this kind of shiai to the socalled Full Contact Kyokushin karate which in fact is NOT FULL CONTACT in the sense of the word at all. But I dont hink that the west Europeans are ready for this but I certainly like it, it will shut up many a big mouth. Back to Holland and a few days rest. Than off to Germany and Oliver Witte who also has a beautifull sport palace with two big dojo. Several of the shihans and other dojos came their and we had a good seminar soon all round fighting for they dont care much for the old style Kyokushin. On a special request their was a test and Ralf Fahrun made 5^th dan after 25 years in Karate and Peter Valentin 3^th dan. Also the dojo of Big Charly had his third shodan after all this years in te IBK. All by all a very good weekend. Than the Dai Shihan of Belgium Eric Vearenbergh is promoted to 5^th dan FIRST by Yotsky Matsuura Sosai of the WKA and now also from the IBK and well deserved.

Now on to Tokyo the 10^th of May for a meeting with Kenji Kurosaki Sensei and Yotsky Sosai. Also a invitation to meet Kuristina Oyama ( the youngest daughter 0f Oyama Sosai ) so I will see her one of these days AND WILL VISIT THE GRAVE SIDE OF MY OLD TEACHER AND FRIEND.

Than their has been some trouble in the IBK. Not much just one Jackass who thought he could take over when he made a foundation and shut out the Kaicho who than has to listen to a kind of board I appointed myself NOT knowing that this foundation hadbeen sealed of by this man called Jan de Jong. They wanted a meeting in Budapest but I will NOT be their. If they want to talk they can come to me. This man also stole one of my websites while pretending that a sponsor will take care of it and I just mail what must be in there. NOT REALLY. He put just in their what was good for him and when I told him to give the Web over to somebody alse he wrote WIE KAATST ??? which in English really means Go F.... yourself. terrific respect and a real gentleman but certainly bot a BUDOKA and of KOKORO he never heard of it. But the real idiot is MYSELF for helping this Jackass. His behaviour on one of the best days for IBK was terrible and he was kicked out of the Marine office and now is not aloud to come on the camp again. This day socalled Survival day was attended by 460 budoka from al styles and we had a wonderfull day with lessons from all styles senseis and the Abseil tower and the obstacle road for training of the Marines ect. At the boothcamp in DOORN. Where I started teaching since 1964 and was a Marine myself at age 16 in 1949. His behaviour over all if unbelieveble and his story that he killed a man with his finger in the plexus solaris while being on police duty nearly choked out a police captain while he is a student of mine. How nuts can you be. Anyway I kicked him out of MY IBK FAMILY because he clearly does not belong with us. Later more about this.

OSU KAICHO IBK

The summerschool in Hungary in the first week of july is NOT anymore an IBK summercamp, nobody from the IBK will go there. Adamy Sensei disided to go on his own way. We wish him the best of luck.

I always said that BUDO has NOTHING to do with MONEY. Espescially my real SENSEI Kenji Kurosaki Kancho hate budoka who only go for money or do anything for money. That was the reason he stopped with the Kyokushinkaikan Honbu in 1972 because it became a business which made a few rich and he wanted no part of it. He made his living in the old samurai fashion and still does so. So when my Dai Shihan in Belgium Eric Vaerenbergh asked me if his student in Nepal could became member of the IBK but they had NO money I first thought what good does that to the IBK. Right after that I felt ashamed for that way of thinking. EVERY HONEST Budoka should have the oportunity to do his favorite sport even when he has no money for fancy sportschools who make a living out of sports.

Just like TIGER WOODS who now helps the poor kids to learn golf and ays for thei clubs and give the lessons for free. So I told Eric that they where welcome. Lets face it if the average worker makes half a dollar or less a day he is in dire streets and has no way to pay. Now Lional Bricnet Dai Shihan of France asked me the same question for India, Pakistan, Congo, Algeria and Afghanistan who asked for help. So I accepted them and as long as I dont find out that they are not really honest about their poor way of living they are 100% members of the IBK. When I studied in Japan all those years their was many a time that my friend Bill Backhus and me had no money and had a hard time to get food or pay
the rent ect. My Dutch Sensei Opa Schutte help me out several times when the old shit came back to me from Korea. Malaria and I could not do anything for some weeks. Oyama Sosai did also his bit and I never payd a dime for the terrific lessons he gave me the last months in Japan, when he knew I was going home to become a judocoach he gave me private lessons for two hours a day for many weeks and than took me to dinner and gave ma some money to get around because I was to become his Dai Shihan in Europe. I missed several weeks of Iai do and Bojitsu with my Sensei and later good friend Ichitaro Kuroda Kancho and when I came later in his dojo again he asked what happened??? and I told him that I could not pay te 500 yen for the lesson. He took me by the shoulders and looked into my eyes and said please always come to the dojo for practice because BUDO is not for MONEY but for KOKORO. Their all gone now and GOD BLESS THEM for they where SAINTS and terrific MASTERS and I was a very LUCKY Budostudent in those days to have met so many real BUDO masters In Judo, karate and Kobudo. So if some dojo in those terrible poor countries want to do Budo OUR way the Kyokushin BUDOKAI WAY I certainly will not deny them our FAMILY the IBK.

Thanks everybody for making the IBK so big now I really love you all for that even if I dont say that very often but believe you me I feeel like a
granddaddy with his children and some of them like the famous champions Chris Dolman who is also now 60 years of age has been with me from age 16 and we will have a real reunion this year in DOORN by the Dutch Marines the same place where I had my boot camp when I was 16 and a MARINE. The welknown securetychief and Budoka former cage fighter, freefighter ect and one of the oldest member of the IBK opened a sportpalace in Emmen which is one of the biggest and finest certainly in the Netherlands.

HIS NAME, HENK KUIPERS 7^th Dan IBK.

I wish him all the luck and good fortune in the future as he had in the past for he is a good and screwd businessman as he is a Budoka. The Karate and judo will be under the supervision of the Hanshi Joop Reilman who was promoted to 8^th dan IBK on the opening the 18^th of Februari 2006. He is today 42 years in Budo and was 1^st Dan in 1971 so the Budo section is in very good hands with also the shihandai of Reilman Hanshi is E. van Dyk 3^rd Dan IBK. The second week of March Kuipers with his wife and Reilman and me the kaicho of the IBK will go for a week to Japan and also pay our respects to Kenji Kurosaki Kancho in Tokyo who will be 75 years of age the 1`5^th of March 2006.

We will also visit on invitation Kurustina Oyama the youngest daughter of Sosai and visit the grave of Sosai. Than also a meeting with the famous Yotsky Matsuura Sosai of the Worldkarate organisation who also is one of the most wealthy people in Japan. I also welcome a old member of the old days back in the IBK Francis Limonier of the Budokai Aruba in Aruba who was in 1971 a student of Sgt. Poeteray (passed away) and me at the Marines in those days. Than our member in P. Rico Luis Ortiz Shihan is no longer with us and gives now only some private lessons in his spare time. With great pleasure and admiration I recieved the following news fron Japan.

On the 8^th of Januari 2006 the promotion board of the Kodokan promoted the Judo Sensei's Ichiro Abe age 83 promoter of judo for years in Europe summercamp and from 1959 untill now Director of foreign affairs.

Toshiro Daigo age 80 All Japan Champ 1952 and 1953 Under Toshiro Mifune sensei of the Kenshusei ( 25 best judoka of Japan and some foreigners ).

Yoshimi Osawa. former Tokyo champion as lightweight beating all comers incl heavyweights with full ippons. Mr technician.

All three are promoted to 10^th DAN

Ichiro Abe was 6^th dan in France in 1956 when he promoted me to 2^nd dan and made me the first Dutchman to became a member of the KODOKAN where I later that studied from 1959 untill the end of 1961 and again from febr 1966 untill aug 1966 when I had to leave because I broke my neck during a newaza about with Canadian Jimmy Stewart.

Daigo Sensei and Osawa sensei where my teachers in those years as head teachers of the Kenshusei of which I was made a member November 1959. Real devoted masters in Judo made 10^th dan and I have such great and fond memories of them and always visited them when I was in Japan in all those years. Congratulations dear Senseis I for one will never forget you and I am in great debt to you.

During the meeting of the Moscou Budokan came the name of Oschepkov in the meeting and what happened and they asked me if their was nothing I could do to honor what he did. Of course there is like the Japanese honor their top hanshi with a honorary 10^th dan at his deathbed or two days after (see my book) we couod do the same in the IBK for this remarkable Budoka who was the first foreigner to do Kodokan Judo way back in 1904 at the Russian school in Tokyo and joined Kodokan in 1911 under Jigoro Kano and got his black belt in 1913 and 2^nd dan in 1915.
We agreed that we take him in the honor role as a 10^th dan posthumously for all his work as the first Gaijin who brought Judo to Europe and spescial to Russia. Read the honor role. Than the one who started karate in Russia in the 60 ties Alexey Shturmin came up in the meeting. He is a living legend in Russia for he give lessons in karate against the policy of the communist parlement and was prompty arrested after some time
and spent 7 years in prison in Moscou under the most terrible regime. It did NOT break this Budoka who had and still has a unbelievable spirit which I call the spirit of Stalingrad during WW2. It was Gorbachov who released him after those years and he went on as a top sensei and many of the wellknown names today are his students and now 57 he still has a nice dojo and makes champions and teachers. He is now 8^th dan of the IBK Hon C. and honorary member of the IBK and the Moscou Budokan and well deserved.

The seminar in Moscou was as usual very good and an example that all different disciplines in martial arts can work together. Sergey Kosorotov 8^th dan judo opened his dojo to everybody who wants to join the MOSCOU BUDOKAN and work out together. He has also the center of Moscou his martial arts shop the BUDO SHOP and runs the only two martial arts magazines in Russia at this moment. Mike Kokin made his 6^th dan in all round karate and is Dai Shihan in Moscou.

Many old friends where again in the dojo incl Ivan Titenkov 5^th dan of the other section of the Ashihara. The second week of April their will again be a seminar in Moscou and also in Siberie Novosibirsk and Thomsk and St Petersburg.

Also in St Petersburg Oleg Karpation the Jiu Jitsu master 4^th dan will be their. Their was kind of turmoil in Moscou because Sergey Badyuk made 6^th dan and also his bodyguard and close friend Yuri Federichin 6^th dan Former police chief of the Ukraine. Some characters did not think that they where up to that grade but after a visit from both new 6^th dans both 125 kilo muscle NO FAT. To those dojos they found out the hard way that they where WRONG.

Andrey Anufriev made 6^th dan at the IBK Int summercamp in Budapest so there are now very good teachers and fighters with the rank they seserved in Russia.

Two seminars in Germany first Remscheid with the new DAI SHIHAN Ollie Witte also a Aikijitsu master 6^th dan and the second with my old student and several times European champion in the old days Geert Lemmens 8^th dan in Heide. Espescial with Geert Hanshi it was busy and he had to stop the participation of many students for the dojo which was very big was in this case to small. So for those who could not be there the next summerschool of the Gadgamala group in Germany will be the 14^th of aug until the 18^th again in beautifull Busum as the east sea resort.

Kaicho.

The world games of the new organisation of Royama Hanshi where a great success for him. He is one lucky guy that he has such a rich (miljadair) sponsor businessman who payed for all expenses. The shiais was the old system of the old honbu in Tokyo and for e few exceptions, especially when the top Japanese where up against the top Russians and for one lost all to the Russians wich KO's. After the games the usual party where all the countries where present. It was a great pity that one of the old fighters and good teacher of the old days Jack Sandolesk was stricken with a sort of Parkinson sicknes and was now in a wheelchair he certainly did not deserve that he is a great guy and it was certainly very nice that he was invited to attend with all the help he needed right now together with his lovely wife. Sandolesk Shihan is also in the Oyama 100 best fighters of the Kyokushinkai together with Michel Wedel, Peter Smit and Jan Kallenbach and the Kaicho IBK Jon Bluming. Very funny is that Loek Hollander, Bobbie Lowe and Steve Arneill are not even mentioned by name. Akira Maeda 8^th dan IBK told me in 1994 that Oyama did not want their names mentioned because he was really shafted by them and they failed miserably with the socalled 100 man fight. When I came to the party in the big hotel used during the Olympics in Moscou years ago I was with Sergey Badyuk, Yuri Federishin and Sergey Kosorotov all more that 120 kilo muscles. I was very busy posing like a 2^nd hands moviestar with my powerhouse crew. I even met some old friends from before and some names I heard so long ago and finally talked to them.
